First things first by way of introductions: I’m a Hoosier girl, mildly obsessed with my Indiana roots, although I lived in Texas for good stint of my 20s and even managed to become a proud graduate of Southern Methodist University.

My professional journey has afforded me the distinct honor of working with a boutique media training and public relations firm in Dallas to serving as the Director of Development and Communications for a state-wide non-profit here in the mid-west. That was until I made an intentional choice to put my career on hold to pour all of my time, effort, energy and love into the task of motherhood.

Today my two “not-so-littles” spend their days in school while I spend my days brainstorming ways to change the world {Yes, really.} I also own and operate a travel agency, Paradise Falls Travel Company, because sometimes we all just need to step away from the hustle and enjoy one another.

My husband and I have served as student pastors, small group leaders and mentors to young people. Sadly, it was through this experience that I learned first-hand about the horrors of child sex trafficking in America. Now I use my voice and influence to fight back by raising awareness, educating and funneling support to help those children at-risk of victimization {or who have already been victimized} by this heartbreaking “industry.”

Despite confronting the darkest evil, I still believe in the triumph of good.

I write. I dream. I choose joy. I fight for freedom…

I’ve been married to the love of my life and sanity-saving hero, Jeremy, for 13 years. Together we raise a loquacious, creative son, Peyton, and a spunky, daydreaming daughter, Parker. They are the biggest way in which I have changed the world to date.

The color yellow, 90's music and diet-vanilla-coke with pebble ice  {with a skinny straw, of course} make me happy.
